Ryerse Glen Farm is small boarding and training facility built on 46 and 1/2 acres of rolling ground on the North Shore of Lake Erie. The farm is pretty much centrally located on Front Road between Port Ryerse and Fisher's Glen, a few minutes outside Port Dover and Simcoe.
The barn is insulated, but not heated and has 10 box stalls, all lined with rubber stall mats and bedded deeply with sawdust/shavings.
Inside a stall
There are three 12'x14' stalls, five 12'x12' stalls and two 12'x10' stalls in the barn, all of which have thier own grill-protected window.
The brightly lit 11' wide aisle, along with the 10' high ceilings create a spacious area where even large horses feel comfortable.
Barn Aisle
The tack room IS heated and has hot water, as well as a washer and dryer for *horse* laundry.
The feed room
The fencing is wooden post and rail, maintained regularily. There are currently three small *winter* paddocks (approx 150'x150') with run-in sheds and three large grass pastures for rotational summer grazing.
The Tack Room
There is approximately 6 acres of pasture fenced with 4 strands of the highly visible and safe Electro-Braid fencing
The farm boasts a 60'x132' Megadome indoor riding arena, 100'x200' outdoor sand ring with good footing that is properly graded and drained, and a 45' diameter sand round pen.
There is a 20mx40m marked grass dressage ring, jumps, ground poles, pylons and barrels available for schooling and some small cross-country style jumps scattered about the farm.
There is a wonderful network of trails for hacking on the property through approximately 23 acres of bush. The St. Williams crown forest is a few minutes hack down the road.
Horses are fed grain 2x daily and are on all-day turnout rain or shine. Turnout is ONLY limited if conditions are dangerous and/or severe such as an ice storm in wintertime.
During the winter months on turnout, all horses have free access to high quality round bales fed from the horse-safe Duplessis covered horse feeders. In summer pasture is available.
All horses have access to fresh clean water from 100 gallon water tanks in every paddock and pasture. These tanks are filled as needed and are scrubbed on a weekly basis.
