WHAT IS PART-BOARDING?
Part-boarding is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, you are responsible for part of the board of a horse, in turn you become a part-owner of that particular horse and can benefit from alot of the perks of horse ownership without having to incur all of the cost and/or commitment of total ownership.
Why would someone part-board their horse?

Oftentimes alot of horse owners get busy and wrapped up in their work and social lives and find that they are having difficulty finding the time to spend with their horse to give them the exercise and attention that they need.   They don't want to get rid of the horse, but sometimes feel guilty about not being able to spend enough time with them.   A part-boarder can not only help to offset the costs of keeping the horse, but can ride, groom and just spend time with the horse on the days that the horse's owner just can't make it out to the barn.

Part-boarding, because it is cheaper than full board, is also an excellent way to let people,ESPECIALLY parents, see just how much time and money is actually involved in keeping a horse before actually making a full commitment and purchasing one and then realizing that they have made a mistake and can't afford it, either timewise OR moneywise.

The number of days per week available for the part-boarder to ride and the total cost will vary with each owner.   A situation in which both parties are happy is always agreed upon.
Shy is one of the horses available for Part-Board

Shy is a 14 year old bay Percheron/Quarter Horse cross standing approx. 15.1 hands.   He has a funny personality and is an uncomplicated ride with lots of "GO".   He is suitable for intermediate riders.   He can be ridden english or western, but the focus as of late has been english since we don't have any western tack that fits him properly.   Shy also happily jumps and goes out on the trails.

call or email the farm for more information.
